Labor Day fun

Over Labor Day weekend, Nate and I got ambitious and completely demo-ed our main bathroom! I had a blast wrecking the old dated tile and vanity. The bathroom is definitely over due for a make-over. Sherrie and my friend Kelli offered to watch Avery for us while we worked. It would have been impossible with her there because we made a lot of noise and a huge mess. My brother-in-law Rich came over and helped Nate lift our old cast iron bathtub out. It weighed a ton! Finishing the bathroom will be a huge project but will definitely be worth it. We recently finished our master bathroom so we are able to use it while the other is under construction.

Because we no longer have a bathtub (our master only has a shower), we've had to be creative with how to clean Avery. No worries to those who may want to call child services on us for not bathing our kid. (I won't mention any names...Jen.... :) Here is a pic of our make-shift tub. She loves it.

Before picture. We all remember that scary green and white tile and dated vanity. Anyone sad to see it go???

Tearing out the tile in the shower. Luckily it came off in tiled sheets- can't say the same for the floor. It was a pain.

New plastic storage bathtub. It may not be glamorous, but it's better than the hose!

What a big job! Nate is so good at house projects it'll be done before you know it. The tub is awesome!!
