Little Red Riding Hood
"What the hail?! This didn't happen last time," I thought to myself as I passed mile marker 5 of Little Red Riding Hood.  "If this hail keeps up, it will be a miracle if I can finish this ride with 57 miles still to go!"

This was the second time I rode in the all women's ride in Logan.  The biggest difference from this year and the ride two years ago was the weather!  This time I suffered riding in frigid cold weather, hail, rain and a strong headwind - unlike the previous time when the weather was perfect.  It's amazing that I managed to ride the full 62 miles and live to tell about it!  My friend, Nancy did the ride with me.  We've been training together for it for a few weeks now.  We started the ride in Wellsville at 8:30 am and crossed the finish line at 2:30 pm (including stopping for lunch and rest stops).  It's a long time to be on a bike, but worth it when it's all done.  Thanks to Nate who watched Avery the whole day.  It was the longest I have ever been away from her.  She gave me a huge hug when I got home.  Anyone is welcome to do the ride with us next year!

A very happy rider at the finish of the race
(my pink bike rocks!)

Congrats for finishing! I still need all the details. Sounds like I picked a good year to not ride it with such cold weather. I can't wait to do it next year though! Hopefully the weather is better next time. Now all I need is a bike.
