Happy Thanksgiving

We had a nice time at Nate's mom's house for Thanksgiving. I was brave enough to make rolls for the first time!! Eeek. They actually turned out very good and I got a lot of compliments on them. I think Nate assumed that I would just buy some rolls premade, but I surprised him by actually baking for once. I also made a yummy fruit jello salad. All the food was delicious and I probably gained 5 lbs in one day!! (So much for my diet).... It was Nate's sister Kori's birthday while we were down. We spent her birthday playing games with her and her four children.

On Saturday, the 24th, we attended the annual Grange Christmas party. Aunt Cindy hosted the "Western" theme party. She went to a lot of work to make it fun. Avery loved being around so many people and was very social. Many people commented that she is a happy baby. She really liked Keith, Nate's cousin, and would coo and laugh at him when he just smiled at her. She's already a flirt!! The best part of the party was learning how to country swing dance with Nate! He already knows some moves so that made it a lot easier. I'm HORRIBLE when it comes to dancing so it definitely helps to have a partner who knows what he's doing and can easily swing you around. Cindy was nice enough to hold Avery while we danced. It makes me want to go dancing with him again. We had a great weekend!
